"Oh God, high school was absolutely horrible. I was in a school where everyone was all really academic. They all wanted to get fantastic grades and go to university and be incredibly successful. All I wanted to do was play the guitar in a rock and roll band!...When everyone was at home studying for their exams, I was strumming on my guitar. In many ways I was the outcast. I was different. I didn’t want to be a scholar or anything like that - I wanted to play guitar and that was it!...High school was really horrible though. I never planned for anything else - I just wanted to be in a rock band."
